Values Responsibility for a legacy In the last ten years, our family of major investment, restructuring and embellishment has devoted the Masseria Li Veli and its vineyards. This project is continued regularly with new impulses, improvements and interventions to maintain the historical and architectural heritage and to highlight, there, where it is possible. Devotion to wine - the Askos project Our winery dedicate with passion of the production of the best wines from indigenous grape variety. The Askos project 2009 started to this old local grape extract zudecken again and to revalue. An Askos is a typical clay pot, the Greeks used for wine or olive oil. Because so many archaeological finds of this pottery were discovered in our region, we have chosen this symbol for our project. Each grape variety has its preferred growth conditions and cultivated with traditional education system. Verdeca and Fiano Minutolo, for example, are in the Valle d'Itria (the beautiful valley, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage list) attached, because since the micro- climate is colder and windier, the vineyards on a Hill are located, and the lime and mineral soil are all suitable conditions for these special white grape varieties. An other indigenous grape variety such as Susumaniello (red) is around planted all the Masseria, a small vineyard where the conditions are different. Eco-friendly Since 2005 all the grapes of our vineyards from controlled organic farming produces. We work in accordance with ISO 14001 Umweltmanagenetnorm for operational environmental protection within the company. The philosophy behind our wines Our wines embody the combination of character, TYPICALITY, harmony and elegance. Young wines should be harmonious and lively. The more structured wines to express their particular elegance and complexity over time.
