Good As a landmark of the Schloss Vollrads Riesling winery, the residential tower stands out from the ensemble of buildings and the vineyards, visible from afar. The Imperial Barons von Greiffenclau family, old nobility from Lorraine, once started growing and trading their wines here and lived in the tower for centuries. One of the oldest wineries in Germany is located above Oestrich-Winkel in the Rheingau, attractively in the middle of the cultural landscape. Hiking trails all around invite you to explore the region. A popular nature trail leads through our Vollrads forest in the north, and the idyllic flute path runs through the vineyards, directly past Vollrads Castle and around the entire property. This hiking trail owes its name to the Rheingauflöte, the typical wine bottle with a facet cut on the neck. Schloss Vollrads is a modern, open winery today. We welcome visitors and guests who take part in our life and the many events. In autumn you can feel the hustle and bustle of the grape harvest. Behind the gates of the farm buildings are the presses, fermentation cellars and filling systems. You will find our wine shop in the Kutscherhaus and our estate restaurant in the Kavaliershaus and the Orangery. Or on summer weekends you can stop at the Hofausschank for tarte flambée and a selection of our wines. Welcome to Riesling!
