Heinrich Groh founded the winery in Bechtheim, one of the largest winegrowing communities in Rheinhessen, in 1899, which still bears his name today. It is already managed in the 4th generation. The current owner, Axel Groh, is a state- certified technician for viticulture and cellar management. Our philosophy is based on the production of typical, fruity wines, as they fit in today. Today we build a bridge between modern wine technology and traditional wine-making. 50,000 liters of wine can still be stored at the winery in wooden barrels. Cultivation of the vines and expansion of the wines are carried out close to nature but not rational. Being committed to quality is the top priority at Groh. Awards on regional and national wine awards confirm the work of the cellar master.
