The vineyards sit at approximately 1000 meters above sea level, they operate entirely organically, and it holds the Vino de Pago designation—the highest distinction a Spanish wine (or winery) can receive. This is unique as it's not tied to a region, but to an individual estate or vineyard. Furthermore, stringent requirements must be met before an estate or vineyard can call itself "Vino de Pago." Only 24 wineries hold the Vino de Pago title.
