Serve at: 16-18°C Description:The Sankt Georgenberg vineyard is a gently rising south-facing slope that is cooled by the wind even on hot days. The vines grow on deep loess-loam soils with good water-storing properties. The grapes ripen more slowly here and thus gain complexity. Max Pfannebecker also gives the wines a long maturation time in the cellar. After 18 months of aging in mostly new French oak barrels, the wine always matures in the bottle for at least 3 years before it is allowed on the market. This makes the tannins softer and the wine easy to drink, rich in finesse and complex. Already on the nose it beguiles with notes of roasted almonds with brittle, ripe morello cherries, fresh red berries, cold smoke and roasted notes. His body is firm with strength and athletic stature. The Sankt Georgenberg Maximus is cool and warm at the same time. A wine with a high fruit concentration, spicy-sweet, intense taste nuances, a lot of substance and a nice drinking flow.
