The estate has been in the family since 1750, but it was not until 1920 that great-grandfather François Xavier LAMBERT pressed his first wine in the cellar in Gigondas. As a ninth generation winemaker, Jean Francois Gras feels it is his duty to combine this historic family knowledge with a sustainable method to bring out all the finesse and concentration of the wine. The clay and limestone soils with red pebbles produce wines with a full flavour and powerful aromas typical of the Rhone region.
