Color: dense, dark crimson red.
Fragrance: the bouquet expressively reflects the local terroir of the grapes, mineral, with lots of spicy, elegant fruit (plums, morello cherries, wild berries), underlined with the fine roasted aromas of oak.
Taste: fruity on the palate (plumy ), very elegant, straightforward, powerful, full-bodied, with a beautiful balance of ripe tannins, juicy fruit, spice and fresh acidity, long and balanced in the finish with fine minerality and an aromatic hint of toast.

The Girondist deputies Pétion, Buzet and Barbaroux, condemned by the revolutionary regime, found refuge in the German castle, where they died defending freedom on the 8th of Messidor of Year II. Château GERMAN's vines were planted in the 18th century on the Castillonais terrace, bordering the Saint-Emilion terroir, and produce a red wine typical of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.
